In the beginning........

Baldhatsorganisedscat is a dance and multimedia company that was founded just a few months ago at Bath Spa University. Consisting of 4 female performers the debut piece 'Eat your words' looks at 1950's housewives who strive for perfection in all that they do. As the piece unfolds note how women are by nature enemies, gossiping and sometimes performing acts far from perfect to

cope with life. Thus shown through the use of projection and text. The more rules that are broken, the more colourful life gets.

A Dance and Multimedia Company...

Laura Polson, Amelia Moore, Katy West, Romayne Etwaroo

Laura Polson: I am the youngest founding member of Baldhatsorganisedscat and am currently finishing my BA (Hons) Dance degree at Bath Spa University. I am looking to stay around the Bath/Bristol area post graduate and find work within dance therapy. Using my experience of imagery/movement I would love to make a difference in hospitals to patients suffering long term illnesses but am also keen to work in a prison environment too. I do however hope to continue to make work with the company and tour as well!

Amelia Moore: As another founding member of Baldhatsorganisedscat, working with the company has created the opportunity to broaden my experiences as a passionate performer. After completing my BA (Hons) Dance degree at Bath Spa University, it is my ambition to travel abroad, to explore the contemporary dance industry in other parts of the world. I am excited to see the company thrive as we continue to develop our work, as keen choreographers. Baldhatsorganisedscat plan to tour, eager to showcase what we love to do!!

Katy West: Another founding member of Baldhatsorganisedscat and also in my final year at Bath Spa University studying BA Hons Dance. My intention is to stay in the Bath/Bristol area after completion of my degree and pursue a career in contemporary dance performance. I have a keen interest in scent and how it can generate movement material by interacting with it, through inhalation and physical contact. Furthermore, I feel that scent has great visual potential to engage with both performers and audience members and I am keen to explore this further.

Romayne Etwaroo: Currently studying dance at Bath Spa university. I am interested in furthering my experience with producing intermedia work. I have a keen interest in performing and would like to create a company which works to combine text, movement, music and projection successfully possibly in and around the London area.
